1. Introduction
Welcome to GeoBhoomi: Land Survey & AnyRoR ("GeoBhoomi", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed and operated by AuraSetu ("AuraSetu Technologies").
This Privacy Policy explains our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and technical data when you use the GeoBhoomi mobile application on Android and iOS devices, as well as the choices you have associated with that data.
2. Information We Collect and Process
Depending on how you use GeoBhoomi, the application may access the following types of information strictly to provide real-time surveying functionality:
A. Location Data
- Precise GPS Location (Fine Location): Required during active land boundary measurement, walk-around GPS surveying, and GeoTag photo stamping to determine field corner coordinates.
- Approximate Location (Coarse Location): Used for initial map centering, local weather lookups, and reverse geocoding to retrieve village and taluka addresses.
B. Camera & Photos
- Camera Access: Used exclusively when you open the GeoTag Camera feature to capture field photos with real-time GPS metadata overlays.
- Photo Gallery Access: Used when you choose to import an existing photo from your device gallery to apply a location and timestamp watermark.
C. Device Motion & Compass Sensors
- Magnetometer & Gyroscope: Accessed in real-time by the Smart Compass & Vastu tool to compute true magnetic azimuth headings ($0^\circ - 359^\circ$) and inclinometer pitch/roll angles. Sensor readings are processed purely in device RAM and are never stored or transmitted.
D. User-Entered Survey Information
- Survey Details: Measurement titles (e.g., *Farm North Boundary*), farmer/owner names, survey/block numbers, village names, and custom remarks entered when saving a record or generating PDF reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the accessed device data solely for providing and improving the App's core surveying utility:
- To calculate land polygon area in regional Gujarat Vigha (16-Aana Saurashtra, 24-Aana Gujarat, 20-Guntha South Gujarat), Guntha, Acres, and Hectares.
- To compute multi-point route perimeter and linear boundary distances in Feet, Metres, and Chains (Sankal).
- To generate certified PDF Land Survey Assessment reports for printing and client records.
- To embed accurate GPS watermarks (coordinates, address, altitude, weather, timestamp) into photos for crop insurance, revenue documentation, and bank loan verification.
- To provide real-time 360° cardinal directions and Vastu Shastra guidance for agricultural construction.
4. Local Storage & Data Security
Zero Server Data Collection: We do not operate user accounts, databases, or cloud servers that collect or aggregate your land survey records. All measurements, PDF files, and photos are saved in your device's private sandboxed app directory (`SharedPreferences` and local file storage).
Security in Transit: Any outgoing network requests—such as fetching OpenStreetMap vector tiles, Nominatim geocoding searches, or weather queries—are strictly conducted over encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.3) protocols.
5. Device Permissions and Justifications
| Permission | Platform | Purpose & Justification |
|---|---|---|
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION |
Android / iOS | Required for accurate polygon GPS corner placement and walk-around field boundary surveying. |
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION |
Android / iOS | Used for initial map centering and local weather/address lookup. |
CAMERA |
Android / iOS | Required for taking field verification photos with the GeoTag Camera. |
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES |
Android 13+ | Allows selecting photos from your gallery to add GPS watermarks. |
INTERNET |
Android / iOS | Used to download OpenStreetMap satellite/normal tiles, search place names, and load AnyRoR web pages. |
6. Third-Party Services & APIs
GeoBhoomi interfaces with trusted third-party service providers to deliver mapping and telemetry capabilities:
- OpenStreetMap & ESRI: For providing public map and satellite imagery tiles.
- Nominatim OpenStreetMap: For searching villages, talukas, and cities via public geocoding APIs.
- Open-Meteo API: For retrieving ambient weather telemetry at the surveyor's location.
- Gujarat Government Revenue Portals: The AnyRoR, e-Milkat, and Garvi features load official public web pages inside a sandboxed web view. GeoBhoomi does not alter, intercept, or store your revenue login credentials or query parameters.
7. Official Government Disclaimer
1. GeoBhoomi is NOT an official government application and is NOT affiliated with, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way connected to the Government of Gujarat or the Revenue Department of Gujarat.
2. The AnyRoR and 7/12 features provide an integrated browser viewer for publicly accessible government portals:
• Rural Land Records (7/12, 8A, VF6): https://anyror.gujarat.gov.in/
• Urban e-Milkat Records: https://e-milkat.gujarat.gov.in/
• Garvi Property Search: https://garvi.gujarat.gov.in/
3. All revenue data belongs to the respective government authorities. For certified legal or banking use, users must obtain officially signed and sealed physical copies from the Mamlatdar or Talati office.
8. Data Retention and User Deletion Rights
Since all measurement records, remarks, and PDF certificates reside exclusively on your local device:
- Individual Record Deletion: You can delete any saved survey measurement directly from the "Saved Records" screen by tapping the trash icon.
- Complete Data Purge: You can clear all app data at any time via Android/iOS Settings > Apps > GeoBhoomi > Clear Storage, or by uninstalling the application.
9. Children's Privacy
GeoBhoomi is intended for professional, agricultural, and general adult audiences (surveyors, farmers, and property owners). The application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
